Scholarship and Financial Assistance Program

Walden Education Foundation Scholarship Program

Based on the belief that every child has a right to education, the Walden Education Foundation Scholarship Program identifies children from underprivileged environments and provides them with scholarships, financial assistance, and mentoring to ensure they complete formal education without difficulty. This program has no overheads – all donations received go directly towards the school fees.

About 50% of the children studying at Walden’s Path School and Walden’s Path The Magnet School are eligible for scholarships and financial support. Please meet the Financial assistance coordinator after submitting your application for school admission.

Scholarships For Children Of Armed Forces Personnel

There is a special scholarship for the armed forces. 50% – 100% off the total school fee will be reduced.

Documents required: Letter from the concerned authority stating that the parent is currently serving in the Army/Navy/Air Force Birth certificate of the boy Registration form duly filled in

Criteria for Financial Aid

The Walden Education Foundation Scholarship Program has a scholarship committee which meets to decide on how financial aid awards are allocated.

Under the program, 50% of children in each class between the age group of 5 to 16 years, who are either orphaned or raised by a single parent without any support, will be eligible for the scholarship; children from vulnerable families (who are suffering from abuse or severe neglect in the family) will also be awarded a scholarship.

Prospective parents or guardians are required to complete a form which is available from the Head of Admissions. The form requires parents to submit a detailed report of their financial affairs, including joint family income, for the school to ascertain whether they are justified in providing financial support to the parents. The form is comprehensive and has been designed to ensure that the school can allocate its resources wisely and effectively to reach the neediest parents. It does not provide financial support through discounts to parents who do not need it. Financial Aid (means-tested awards), ranges from limited financial support to awards worth 100%+ to support parents who would not be able to afford to send their children to the school. The system also applies to scholars whose parents require further financial support to enable their children to attend school.

Beneficiaries of the Scholarship Program

Since 2013 we have supported more than 80% of full-time and 100% of part-time and Bridge program students with support from the Chaitanya Foundation, Catalyzer Entrepreneurship Centre and other individual donors.
